The story, the history and the evolution of Torontos finest web design firm, LetUsDesign.it

Back in a time before there was web design, websites and hosting, there was a computer known as the Commodore 64. If you don't know, the Commodore 64 was one of the best selling computers in the early 1980s. Not only did it come with a few games for kids to play around with, but when it turned on, a mysterious blue screen would display itself on the monitor and say "READY". This "READY" prompt let you do one of two things. 1) Load a pre-bought or pre-made program from a floppy disk drive or 2) Start programming yourself.

The Commodore 64 came with a little booklet about programming in what was called BASIC. The first chapter of the book came with instructions on how to make the words HELLO WORLD appear on the screen. The instructions were followed when the words "RUN" were typed in, the computer said "Hello World". The programming bug hit. As the years passed, many vists to the library took place. Many books on BASIC were loaned out and much was learned. As the years passed, so did the number of programming languages that were learned.

Then in 1995, something happened that would change the world forever. The WORLD WIDE WEB made its presense to the mainstream for the first time. It may have been crude and ugly compared to todays standards, but people were saying that HTML and the crude and ugly websites were here to stay, so HTML was learned and perfected. CSS then its appearance to alleviate the crude and uglyness and that too was learned. The advent of Javacript gave way to programmers to give them more control over the sites that were created and PHP allowed for even more.

In 1997, the first (and very ugly) website of a future LetUsDesign.it made it's first showing. Back then buying a .COM name and combining it with hosting was a very expensive thing to do. Services included computer upgrades, computer tuneups and the making of simple websites. For the next three years, the dot com boom started to flare up it seemed that everyone wanted a website. By the time 2001 rolled around. things were starting to get serious. A sole proprietorship wouldn't cut it anymore. Incorporation papers needed to be filled out and as a result intoDesign was born.

Over the next number of years intoDesign experienced tremendous growth as one of Toronto's webfirms. Along with this growth, more technologies such as AJAX and JQuery needed to be learned and implemented and SEO/Search Engine Optimization became the buzz word to getting a good ranking within the search engines.

Companies always need to reinvent themseleves. Logos and slogans change over time. The looks of websites change as well. Some are taken over, and others just rename and rebrand themseleves. After 8 years of being intoDesign and keeping up with web trends and technologies, a change needed to take place. intoDesign looked backed on their past work, efforts and accomplishments and realized that everyone of their clients Let Us Design their webpage.
